Vinyl Records CD Release Party – Local 506 – Jan. 30

Anyone who doesn’t believe that student bands can be a powerful force, both in their ability to make music and in their ability to get people out to shows, would have trouble keeping up that prejudice if they had attended the release party for the three CDs released by newly formed student record label Vinyl Records. The rocking, picking of crooning of Lafcadio, the smooth flow of rapper Apollo and the dreamy keyboard and guitar driven fury of Lake Inferior made for a night that was more than enough to entertain a capacity crowd of almost all students at Local 506. For a complete recap see the review of the show that will be included in this week’s Dive. For now check out Sarah Acuff’s pictures of the festivities.
