Even when considered agianst the slew of releases Trekky Records is unleashing upon listeners this Fall, Lost In The Trees’ new album All Alone In An Empty House is a striking standout. The reasons for this were on full display Friday night at Cat’s Cradle. Ari Picker led his band through a dynamic, engaging and heartwrenching performance, including many of the bittersweet odes from the new disc. Filling the room with a rich, orchestral sound, the band kept the capacity crowd riveted the whole way through. Earlier in the night pop-folk fun bunch Midtown Dickens delivered a hootenany of a set and Dirty South Improv’s P. T. Scarborough did one of his “PT Scarborough is a Movie” performances, ad libing the dialogue for the Heath Ledger film, “A Knight’s Tale.”
